The Lagos State Government is set to host a high-profile Energy Summit, bringing together over 150 industry experts, panelists, and stakeholders to discuss the future of the energy sector and drive sustainable solutions.
Epe Insights quotes the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Biodun Ogunleye, as saying that the summit will serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation, featuring local and international organizations, development partners, and tech innovators.
The discussions will focus on enhancing the adoption of sustainable energy solutions to power the socio-economic growth of Lagos State.
Ogunleye highlighted that the recently signed Lagos Electricity Bill by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will position the state as a top destination for energy investments. He emphasized that the bill will improve the state’s liability index, drive policy development, and strengthen human and fiscal capacity.
Additionally, it will foster research, partnerships, and impact assessment of both local and global energy initiatives, ensuring maximum benefits for Lagos.

As part of the summit, 200 participants will have the exclusive opportunity to tour the expansive Dangote Refinery site in Ibeju Lekki, gaining firsthand insights into Nigeria’s largest industrial energy project.
The Lagos Energy Summit is expected to set the stage for innovative energy policies, investment opportunities, and a greener, more sustainable future for the state.
