The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has officially presented a 32-seater Coaster Staff Bus to the council workforce, marking the first time in the council’s history that a dedicated staff transportation facility has been provided.
Epe Insights reports that the brief presentation ceremony took place at the Council Secretariat in Agbowa and also included the handover of official vehicles to legislative members and two executive cabinet members — the Vice-Chairman and the Chief of Staff.
Chairman Anomo described the acquisition of the staff bus as a strategic intervention to enhance staff mobility, improve punctuality, and boost productivity across council operations.
He emphasized that the initiative reflects the administration’s recognition of the invaluable role of the workforce in implementing government policies and programs at the grassroots level.
Anomo stated that the availability of a dedicated staff bus marks a new chapter in the operational structure of the LCDA, easing transportation challenges and fostering a more coordinated administrative environment.

The Executive Chairman also highlighted that providing official vehicles to legislative and executive members aligns with statutory responsibilities, enabling effective legislative oversight, community engagement, and policy implementation.
He urged all beneficiaries to maintain the vehicles responsibly, use them strictly for official duties, and uphold high standards of accountability and service to the residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
On behalf of the staff and legislative arm, the Vice-Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu, alongside Hon. Shakirat Adesanya and Council Manager, Sunday Awobajo, expressed profound appreciation to the chairman for the historic gesture.
They described the provision of the staff bus and official vehicles as a landmark development that would significantly improve operational efficiency and support the workforce in carrying out their duties.
