In a strategic political engagement over the weekend, Hon. Sketel intensified his bid for a third term by meeting with apex leaders of the OSCO campaign group across the five wards of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

EpeInsights reports that the gathering, held in Igbooye, drew prominent figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC), including respected party leaders Hon. Odubote and Hon. Oguntimehin, who openly endorsed Sketel’s continued leadership.

In his remarks, Hon. Odubote lauded Hon. Sketel’s leadership over the past seven years, describing it as “purpose-driven” and marked by “visible developmental strides.”

“We’ve seen transformation in every ward. Hon. Sketel has led with vision and integrity. The work must continue,” he said, urging party faithful to throw their weight behind Sketel’s third-term ambition.

Adding his voice, Hon. Oguntimehin highlighted a number of initiatives championed by the lawmaker, ranging from road construction to youth and elderly empowerment.

“His people-centered programs speak volumes. Sketel is not just a leader; he’s a bridge between government and the grassroots,” Oguntimehin noted.

Expressing gratitude for the consistent backing of OSCO leaders, Hon. Sketel emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration within the APC ahead of the 2025 election season.

He also outlined upcoming infrastructure projects, including the completion of Town Hall Road in Igbooye within the year and delivery of Jalugaye Road in 2025.

“We are not just making promises—we are keeping them,” he said. “Eredo deserves sustained progress, and I remain committed to delivering results.”

Hon. Sketel concluded by urging all aspirants and party members to remain peaceful and respect the supremacy of party decisions.

“Let’s avoid internal conflict. Our strength lies in our unity. The people must always come first,” he said.

This engagement marks a critical moment in Hon. Sketel’s political journey as he seeks to consolidate support and sustain momentum ahead of the next general election.
