The Lagos governor said this on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, while delivering his keynote address at the opening of the Africa Gaming Expo (AGE) 2025 held in the state, where he emphasised the significant potential for collaboration between gaming, fintech, entertainment, and AI in shaping the future of Africa’s digital economy.

The governor reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to fostering an environment where innovation thrives, responsible gaming is prioritized, and digital entrepreneurship flourishes.

This was just as he noted that the Africa Gaming Expo 2025 was not just an exhibition, but a critical platform for stakeholders, regulators, investors, and tech pioneers to explore how AI can enhance efficiency, security, and inclusivity across industries like gaming, fintech, and entertainment.

“Through progressive policies, strategic investments, and digital infrastructure, Lagos aims to create a collaborative ecosystem where game developers, fintech startups, content creators, and AI innovators can scale their ideas globally.
