The Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has completed the distribution of exercise books to pupils across all 19 public primary schools in the council area.
Epe Insights reports that the exercise was carried out under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, as part of efforts to support pupils and strengthen basic education within the LCDA.
The distribution provided exercise books to pupils in the 19 public primary schools, ensuring that learners across different communities received essential materials for their classroom activities.
The final phase of the exercise was led by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Adesanya Lateef, who visited the remaining schools to conclude the distribution programme.
During the visits, the Vice Chairman interacted with pupils and teachers while observing the distribution of the learning materials.
He encouraged the pupils to remain focused on their education and make good use of the opportunities available to them in school.
Adesanya also urged the pupils to take their studies seriously and remain committed to their academic development.
He encouraged teachers to continue giving their best in the classroom, noting the important role educators play in shaping the future of children.
The completion of the exercise means that public primary schools across Eredo LCDA have now been covered under the initiative.
The council had earlier commenced the distribution with a flag-off at RCM Primary School, Odomola.
Other schools covered during the exercise included AUD Primary School, Odo-Egiri; UPE Primary School, Iraye; Government Demonstration Primary School, Noforija; and LG Primary School, Noforija.
Pobo Primary School, Poka, and RCM Primary School, Iragunshin, were also among the schools covered during the distribution exercise.
The initiative is aimed at supporting pupils with basic learning materials that are needed for their everyday academic activities.
Exercise books remain an important part of primary education, providing pupils with materials for classwork, assignments, note-taking and other learning activities.
