The Epe Kayokayo Festival Planning Committee has officially announced the dates for the 2026 edition of the historic cultural celebration, as preparations begin across Epe Kingdom.
Epe Insights reports that the announcement was made by the festival Coordinator, Barr. Bayo Saliu-Okulu, who spoke on behalf of the committee and called for unity, support, and active participation from all stakeholders.
According to the committee, the 2026 Epe Kayokayo Festival will hold from Friday, July 3, 2026, to Saturday, July 11, 2026, featuring a week-long celebration of Epe’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
Barr. Saliu-Okulu described the festival as one of the most important cultural events in Lagos State, noting its role in preserving identity and promoting unity among the people of Epe Kingdom.
He stated that Kayokayo remains a powerful symbol of peace, pride, and togetherness that continues to define the Eko-Epe heritage.

The Coordinator explained that the festival serves as a platform for strengthening bonds among indigenes, residents, visitors, and stakeholders across different sectors.
