The Labour Party (LP) in Epe has officially presented its candidates with their Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) nomination forms, marking a significant step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming local government elections.
EpeInsights reports that in a statement released on Thursday morning, a Labour Party aspirant for the Epe Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives elections, Dr. Abdulkareem Onakoya, described the presentation of LASIEC forms as a “milestone” that reflects the party’s commitment to grassroots development and sustainable societal progress.
“This milestone signifies the commitment of the party to the grassroots development and unequalled societal growth we have been yearning for,” said Onakoya, who holds a PhD and is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants.
Dr. Onakoya called on residents and party supporters across Epe to rally behind the Labour Party candidates, stressing the importance of collective support in ensuring victory at the polls.
“As I lead my candidates to victory in the forthcoming LG elections, your support at all levels of our engagements is very important and germane,” he stated.
The aspirant reiterated the party’s popular slogan, “Labour Party – Forward Ever! Labour Party – Papa, Mama, Pikin!” signaling inclusivity and a people-oriented agenda.
The local government elections in Lagos State are expected to take place later this year, with political parties intensifying mobilization efforts across the state’s 57 LGAs and LCDAs.
