Princess Olayemi Sura Animashaun’s leadership has brought transformation to Epe Local Government.
Epe Insights reports that Hon. Princess Olayemi Sura Animashaun’s leadership has carried out a series of transformative projects aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare has been carried out in Epe Local Government, Lagos Nigeria.
The Princess Animashaun’s administration since its inauguration in 2021, has prioritized sustainable development, community welfare, and cultural preservation.
Highlighting achievements in Epe local government during a recent facility tour, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, emphasized the commitment of the administration to enhancing the quality of life for residents, noting that significant progress has been made in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Owolomoshe listed the renovation of key administrative structures within the local government premises as one of the notable accomplishments.
According to Owolomoshe, council, and legislative chambers have undergone extensive refurbishment to improve functionality and provide a conducive working environment. In addition, the offices of the Chairman and Vice Chairman have been renovated to meet modern standards and facilitate efficient administration.
Apart from this, several roads have been constructed and equipped with solar-powered streetlights to enhance safety and improve nighttime visibility which is aimed at fostering economic activities and easing transportation for residents and visitors alike.
The Princess Animashaun-led administration has also prioritized education and health care by providing well-furnished classroom blocks to create a better learning environment for students and also purchased registration forms for intending teachers in Epe, easing the financial burden and encouraging the pursuit of teaching careers.
The local government provided wheelchairs to Epe General Hospital to aid patient mobility and improve healthcare delivery. It is also constructing a new health center to complement the existing Federal Medical Center, which is expected to expand healthcare access for the growing population.
The highlight of the facility tour was a visit to the newly built museum and vocational center, the museum aims to showcase the town’s historical artifacts and cultural identity, while the vocational center will equip residents with practical skills to enhance employment and entrepreneurship. This reflects the Princess Animashaun administration’s commitment to preserving Epe’s rich cultural heritage while providing skill-acquisition opportunities for residents.
Also, Princess Animashaun‘s administration is constructing staff quarters to provide comfortable accommodation for local government workers, ensuring their well-being and improving work efficiency. Also in the pipeline is the completion of a cinema hall and a large museum, further promoting Epe’s cultural legacy and offering recreational opportunities for residents.
The Epe Local Government Vice Chairman stressed the administration’s dedication to delivering people-centered governance and sustainable development.
“We remain committed to implementing projects that directly impact the lives of our people and position Epe as a model local government,” he opined.
