Oloja of Epe has urged diaspora indigenes to contribute to community development.
Epe Insights reports that the Oloja of Epe land, Paramount Ruler and Chairman, Obas and Chiefs in Epe Division in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, in the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr 2025, has called on Muslims and the entire Epe community to uphold the values of dignity, discipline, and self-restraint cultivated during Ramadan.
The Oloja of Epe Land emphasized the importance of maintaining the moral standards observed during the holy month, urging people to avoid reverting to negative habits.
“We all know our attitudes before Ramadan and the things we gave up for the sake of fasting. Life should continue like that.
“Let us protect our dignity and uphold the values of righteousness, humility, and kindness that Ramadan instilled in us,” the monarch advised.
Oba Animashaun also used the opportunity to call on Epe indigenes in the diaspora to participate in the development of their hometown.
The Oloja of Epe Land cautioned that hearsay should not discourage them from returning home, as the community has witnessed significant growth over the years.
“I urge all Epe sons and daughters abroad to come home and witness the progress we have made so far. Do not rely on what others say; come and see for yourself. More importantly, contribute your quota to the development of our land,” he said.
The Oloja of Epe further encouraged the establishment of more companies in Epe, stressing that such investments would create job opportunities for the youth and boost economic growth in the region.
“The more industries and businesses we have in Epe, the more job opportunities we can provide for our young people. Let us work together to make Epe a hub of economic prosperity,” he added.
Meanwhile, Epe Insights reports that Oba Animashaun’s message was well received by community members, with many expressing their appreciation for his leadership and vision for a more prosperous Epe.
