The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 15 individuals suspected of internet fraud in a sting operation carried out by its Lagos Zonal Command.

EpeInsights learnt that the suspects were apprehended on Friday morning at Maple and Jand Court, situated within Royal Pine Estate on Orchid Road in Lekki.

The arrests followed credible intelligence linking the individuals to alleged cybercrime activities.

During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered several incriminating items, including laptops, smartphones, and luxury vehicles believed to have been used in the suspected fraudulent schemes.

In a brief statement, the EFCC confirmed that investigations are ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the process is completed.

This latest crackdown is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and digital fraud, which remain a growing concern in Nigeria’s urban centres.
