Electricity Restoration Begins at Otedola Estate, Odoragunshen, Epe

Residents of Otedola Estate in Odoragunshen, Epe, can soon look forward to the restoration of electricity, as repair works on the estate’s power infrastructure have officially commenced.

EpeInsights reports that this follows an initial inspection by the contractor on March 26 to assess the state of the transformers and the extent of work required, materials for the repair were delivered earlier today.

Full repair activities were said to have begun on April 24, with the target to restore power to the estate before the end of the month.

The estate management expressed deep gratitude to key government officials for their support in making the project a reality.

Special acknowledgments were given to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Engr. AbdulHafis Toriola; the General Manager of LagosHOMS, Mr. Bayowa Foresythe; Head of Facilities Maintenance, Engr. Bab Ogundele; and Scheme Manager, Mr. Ahadji Williams.

Other notable figures appreciated for their contributions include Hon. Taiwo Agoro, Mrs. Olubanjo (popularly known as MamaT), HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, Mr. Popson Jaiyesimi, Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, P.S. Ogunnubi (rtd), Mr. Olusola Tobun, and Hon. Akinloye Monsuru.

In addition to the electricity repairs, residents were informed that the estate’s water project has been reawarded to a new contractor, with work expected to resume in the coming weeks.

To discuss these developments and other community matters, a general meeting of all residents has been scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025.
