The tour began at the Local Government Education Authority office in Ibeju-Agbe, where the education supervisor met with officers and stakeholders to review operations and discuss ways to enhance education services.
Epe Insights reports that the visit is part of efforts by the administration of the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, to strengthen the delivery of quality education across communities within the council.
Agbaje was accompanied during the visit by the Head of Department for Education, Mrs. Ganiat Belo, as they engaged with officials responsible for managing primary education in the area.
The familiarization tour is aimed at providing the new supervisor with firsthand knowledge of the structure, activities, and challenges facing education administrators at the grassroots level.
Officials noted that the engagement will help the education department assess ongoing programmes and identify opportunities for improving learning conditions in local schools.
During the visit, Agbaje held discussions with the Executive Secretary of the education authority, W. Onibeju, alongside other staff members of the education office.
The meeting focused on critical issues affecting the education sector in the area, including teacher welfare, school infrastructure, and strategies to boost student enrollment.

Participants also discussed the need to strengthen library services and learning resources to support effective teaching and academic development.
Education officers highlighted the growing pressure on school facilities as a result of the rapid development and population growth across the Ibeju-Lekki axis.
The corridor has continued to witness major industrial and residential expansion, increasing the demand for accessible and quality education services.
Officials stressed that collaboration between the local government and education administrators will be essential to addressing these emerging challenges.
Agbaje assured stakeholders that the local government remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve the quality of teaching and learning in public schools.

He noted that the familiarization tour will provide valuable insights that will guide future education policies and interventions within the council.
The supervisor reaffirmed the commitment of the Olowa-led administration to prioritizing education as a major pillar of community development.
According to officials, education remains central to the council’s broader agenda of improving social services across communities.
The administration has also focused on infrastructural development and economic empowerment as part of its development strategy.
Officials said the familiarization tour will continue across other education offices and institutions within the local government area.
The initiative is expected to strengthen communication between the council and education stakeholders while improving service delivery.
Education leaders believe the engagement will contribute to building a more responsive and effective education system across Ibeju-Lekki.
