Hon. Engr. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu (FNSE), the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, has officially picked his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form ahead of the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
Epe Insights reports that Olowu described the development as an important milestone in his political journey, expressing appreciation to the APC leadership, party members and supporters for the confidence reposed in him as the party’s flag bearer.
In a statement issued after collecting the nomination form, the APC candidate thanked leaders of the party at the national, state and local levels for their support and encouragement.
He said the opportunity to represent the party was a responsibility he would approach with dedication, accountability and a commitment to serving the people of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I.
Olowu expressed gratitude to party faithful and loyalists across the constituency, noting that their encouragement and unwavering support contributed significantly to his emergence as the APC candidate.
He also acknowledged the efforts of stakeholders who played important roles throughout the party’s nomination process and his political journey.
Among those recognised was Dr. Odutola Kasali, whom Olowu commended for his mentorship, guidance and confidence in his vision for the constituency.
He also appreciated Chief Bode Oyedele for his leadership and continued commitment to progressive politics within the state.
The APC candidate further recognised Alhaji (Hon.) Tunde Isiaq for his grassroots mobilisation efforts and steadfast loyalty to the party over the years.
Olowu equally thanked the APC Woman Leader and women leaders across Ibeju-Lekki for their encouragement, mobilisation and contributions to strengthening the party at the grassroots.
He also appreciated every APC member working tirelessly to promote unity and ensure the continued growth of the party across the constituency.
Calling on residents to support the APC in the forthcoming general election, Olowu stressed the importance of collective participation in sustaining democratic governance and community development.

He noted that meaningful progress can only be achieved through collaboration between elected representatives and the people they serve.
According to him, if elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly, his priority will be to provide effective and responsive representation for the people of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I.
He pledged to promote people-oriented legislation that addresses the needs and aspirations of residents while supporting policies that encourage sustainable development.
Youth empowerment, according to Olowu, will remain one of the central pillars of his legislative agenda.
He explained that creating opportunities for young people through education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship and employment support would contribute to long-term community development.
