Political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections are gathering pace, with aspirants intensifying grassroots engagement across constituencies, including Epe Federal Constituency.
Epe Insights reports that residents of Ikosi–Ejinrin turned out in large numbers on April 21 to receive Akogun Wale Raji Anomo as he formally began consultations for his House of Representatives aspiration.
The meeting, held in Ejinrin Community, attracted party leaders and stakeholders. It provided a platform for Anomo to outline his vision and seek support.
Participants described the turnout as impressive. The gathering reflected growing political interest within the constituency.

Addressing the audience, Olusegun Olulade, former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, commended the people for their consistent political engagement.
Olulade also provided a historical perspective on representation in Epe Federal Constituency. He noted that the seat has operated on a rotational basis since 1999.
According to him, the arrangement has ensured fairness among communities. He added that no individual had previously held the position for more than one term before the current dispensation.
He urged party members to maintain unity. Upholding the rotational structure, he said, remains key to political stability.
Olulade further called for support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He emphasized the importance of backing the President’s re-election bid.
He also encouraged stakeholders to rally behind Anomo’s aspiration. He described the move as part of strengthening representation at the federal level.

Speaking with journalists, Anomo explained the purpose of the consultation. He said it was aimed at mobilizing residents ahead of future elections.
He stressed the importance of obtaining Permanent Voter Cards. According to him, voter participation is crucial to achieving political goals.
Anomo outlined key political priorities. These include support for President Tinubu’s second term and the governorship ambition of Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.
He reiterated his commitment to the rotational principle. He urged party leaders to respect and sustain the arrangement.
Anomo also appealed to residents for support. He promised inclusive representation if elected.

He pledged to drive development across the constituency. His focus, he said, would be on improving livelihoods and infrastructure.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed strong backing. Many reaffirmed their commitment to the collective political agenda.
The event ended on a note of unity. Participants emphasized the need for continued engagement ahead of the elections.
Observers say the consultation marks a significant step. Early mobilization is expected to shape the political landscape.
As momentum builds, more engagements are anticipated. Aspirants are expected to deepen grassroots connections across the constituency.
