The Chairman highlighted several interventions already implemented by the local government to support security operations.

These include the provision of patrol vehicles and motorcycles to the Tactical Squad and Ibile Vigilante Group to enhance surveillance and rapid response.

She also disclosed that the administration continues to provide monthly stipends to security personnel operating within the council area to boost morale and effectiveness.

Following extensive consultations with security agencies and stakeholders, the council approved new operational guidelines for commercial motorcycle and tricycle activities.

Any movement or commercial activity involving motorcycles and tricycles beyond 10:00pm has been strictly prohibited.

The decision, according to the council, is part of proactive efforts to reduce night-time security risks and improve public safety.

Hon. Animashaun stressed that strict compliance is expected from all operators, unions, and relevant stakeholders within the transport sector.
