The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, MNSE, MNATE, has strengthened his administration’s healthcare intervention with a free medical outreach for residents of Igbogun and surrounding communities.
Epe Insights reports that the RBK Free Medical Outreach, held at Igbogun Primary Health Centre, provided more than 500 residents with access to a wide range of medical services at no cost.
The initiative reflects Kasali’s administration’s focus on bringing essential healthcare closer to residents, particularly at the grassroots level.
Beneficiaries received medical consultations, health checks, screenings, laboratory services and medications during the outreach.
The services included blood pressure and blood sugar checks, eye examinations, glaucoma screening, dental care and tuberculosis screening.
Residents also accessed family planning services, health education and free medications as part of the comprehensive healthcare programme.
The outreach enabled residents to receive several essential services within their community without the immediate financial burden associated with routine medical consultations and tests.
Kasali’s intervention also highlights his administration’s emphasis on primary healthcare as an important component of community development.
