OKL Groups Mobilise for Hamzat, Sanyon-James in Epe

Members of the OKL Groups have turned out in large numbers to welcome the Lagos State APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and his running mate, Hon. Damilola Sanyon-James, during their familiarisation visit and engagement with traditional rulers across Epe Division.

Epe Insights reports that the gathering, held at the Jubilee Chalet, Epe, brought together traditional rulers, political stakeholders and party leaders for an engagement focused on strengthening relationships and deepening grassroots participation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The mobilisation was led by the principal of the OKL Groups, Hon. (Engr.) Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, OKL, FNSE, who is also the APC candidate for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Olowu mobilised members of the various OKL Groups across Epe Division to demonstrate their support for the APC leadership and welcome the governorship candidate and his running mate.

The impressive turnout reflected the organisational strength of the groups and their commitment to the APC structure in the division.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for Dr. Hamzat to interact with Kabiyesis and Baales from different communities across Epe Division.

Addressing the gathering, Hamzat expressed appreciation to the people of Epe Division for their continued support for the All Progressives Congress.

He assured the traditional institutions and stakeholders that the next APC administration would continue to give priority attention to issues affecting the development and wellbeing of residents.

Hamzat identified infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare and security as key areas that would receive attention under the next administration.

He also emphasised the importance of working closely with local communities and grassroots stakeholders in delivering sustainable development across Lagos State.

His running mate, Hon. Damilola Sanyon-James, also pledged to maintain close engagement with grassroots structures and ensure that their concerns remain an important part of governance.

She stressed the need for inclusive participation and stronger collaboration between government, traditional institutions and communities.

The presence of the traditional rulers added significance to the gathering, as Kabiyesis and Baales across Epe Division participated in the engagement with the APC governorship candidates.

The royal fathers commended the administration’s efforts in Lagos State and expressed confidence in the ability of the Hamzat and Sanyon-James ticket to sustain the state’s development trajectory.

Political stakeholders at the event also used the occasion to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures across Epe Division.

For the OKL Groups, the mobilisation served as a demonstration of their organisational capacity and readiness to support the APC campaign ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The group’s participation further highlighted the growing importance of grassroots mobilisation in building stronger political structures across the division.

The engagement ended with renewed calls for unity, cooperation and collective support among party members and stakeholders.

With traditional rulers, political leaders and grassroots supporters coming together, the event underscored the importance of broad-based engagement in advancing the political and developmental interests of Epe Division.

The OKL Groups reaffirmed their readiness to continue mobilising their members and working with other stakeholders to strengthen the APC structure across the division ahead of the 2027 elections.
