Hon. (Engr.) Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, FNSE (OKL), the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, has donated a brand-new 2.8kVA generator to the Woman Leader of the Non-Indigenes in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, reaffirming his commitment to community support and economic empowerment.
Epe Insights reports that the beneficiary, Madam Lucy, received the generator to support her bar and restaurant business in Awoyaya, following a request she made during one of Hon. Olowu’s community engagement programmes earlier this year.
The donation fulfilled a promise made by the APC House of Assembly candidate after Madam Lucy appealed for assistance to improve her business operations.
The presentation attracted commendation from residents, who described the gesture as another example of Hon. Olowu’s continued engagement with members of the Ibeju-Lekki community.
Madam Lucy serves as the Woman Leader of the Non-Indigenes in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and is also a former Senior Special Assistant to the immediate past Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Kemi Surakat.
Originally from Cross River State, she has remained active in community development and grassroots mobilisation within Ibeju-Lekki.
Receiving the generator, Madam Lucy expressed appreciation to Hon. Olowu for fulfilling his promise and responding to her request.
