Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has received members of the Association of African Traditional Religion (AATREN), Eredo Chapter, during a courtesy visit to the council secretariat.
Epe Insights reports that the delegation, led by Chief Adenuga Ifadamilare, commended the council chairman for his inclusive style of governance and his commitment to ensuring that adherents of traditional religion are carried along in the affairs of the local government.
The group expressed appreciation for the administration’s openness and recognition of all religious and cultural stakeholders, describing the chairman’s leadership as one that promotes unity, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
During the visit, the delegation informed Hon. Akinloye of preparations for the forthcoming ÌṢẸ̀ṢE Day celebration and reaffirmed its support for his administration and its developmental programmes.
The traditional religion practitioners pledged their continued cooperation with the council, assuring the chairman of their readiness to contribute to initiatives that promote peace, community development and cultural preservation across Eredo LCDA.

Responding, Hon. Akinloye thanked the delegation for the visit and their words of encouragement, describing their support as a source of motivation for his administration.
He reiterated the council’s commitment to inclusive governance, assuring members of AATREN that every lawful group and community would continue to receive fair treatment and support under his leadership.
The chairman also stressed the importance of maintaining peace and security within the council area, noting that community participation remains vital to safeguarding lives and property.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the appropriate security agencies, adding that timely information sharing is critical to preventing crime and maintaining public safety.
Hon. Akinloye said the local government would continue working with traditional institutions, religious organisations and community leaders to strengthen security and foster sustainable development.

He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting unity among residents, regardless of religious or cultural affiliation, while encouraging peaceful coexistence across all communities.
