Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has intensified efforts to promote public health through a sensitization programme focused on sports, fitness, and healthy living.
Epe Insights reports that the initiative, organized by the council’s Agric and Social Services Department, brought together government officials, health experts, and residents at the Council Secretariat Hall.
The programme was designed to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in maintaining good health and preventing lifestyle-related illnesses.
Representing the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), the Chief of Staff, Hon. Razak Ojikutu, welcomed participants and emphasized the need for healthier living habits.
He noted that regular exercise remains one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve physical and mental wellbeing.
Ojikutu encouraged residents to adopt fitness routines that can help enhance their overall quality of life.
The Supervisor for Sports, Hon. Olatokunbo Shonaike, highlighted the positive impact of sports on individuals and communities.
