Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency I, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, has called on residents of Epe Division not to be misled by political opponents over the ongoing electricity challenges in the area.

Epe Insights reports that the lawmaker made the appeal during an ongoing endorsement and sensitisation tour across several communities in Epe Division, where he addressed party members, residents, and supporters on key governance issues.

Hon. Abiodun Tobun assured residents that the electricity situation affecting the area is being actively addressed under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He explained that the power challenge is a national issue and should not be used by opposition politicians as a tool to discredit the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, significant steps are already underway to improve electricity supply within Epe Division, with plans in place to strengthen infrastructure across the region.

Hon. Tobun specifically disclosed that Epe is expected to benefit from a proposed 132/33 KVA electricity transmission project aimed at boosting power distribution and stability.

He urged residents to remain patient and supportive, stressing that ongoing reforms at the federal level will eventually yield improved electricity supply across communities.

The lawmaker maintained that the Tinubu-led administration is prioritising energy reforms as part of broader efforts to stabilize the national grid and enhance power accessibility.

He cautioned residents against political misinformation, noting that some actors are attempting to exploit the situation for political gain ahead of future elections.

Hon. Tobun reaffirmed his commitment to continuous engagement with constituents and promised to keep residents informed on developments regarding infrastructure projects in the area.

Party faithful who attended the sensitisation tour commended the lawmaker for his efforts in keeping the public informed and engaged on government policies.

Residents also expressed hope that the proposed power project would significantly improve business activities, domestic electricity supply, and overall economic growth in Epe Division.
