Hon. Olowa Urges Youths to Stay Focused, Commends NYCN Ibeju-Lekki Chapter

 The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has praised the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ibeju-Lekki Chapter, for its unwavering dedication to youth development.

Epe Insights reports that the commendation came during a high-level program themed “Inspiration and Innovation,” where Hon. Olowa served as Special Guest.

During his keynote on “Building a Viable Youth,” Hon. Olowa lauded the NYCN leadership for creating awareness, leading by example, and fostering a culture of excellence among young people.

He described the council as a passionate body that drives youth consciousness and empowerment across the local government area.

The Executive Chairman also highlighted ongoing initiatives by his administration aimed at nurturing a viable youth population.

These include skill acquisition programs, empowerment schemes, and structured talent development across various sectors. He assured participants that additional impactful projects are in the pipeline to further support youth growth.

“In sports, we have identified talents and have been rewarding them diligently. As a local government, we are committed to nurturing identified talents to greatness,” he noted, emphasizing the administration’s holistic approach to youth engagement.

Hon. Olowa urged the youths to develop structured programs that identify and cultivate talents, promising that the local government will provide support to ensure maximum potential is reached.

He also stressed the importance of focus, discipline, and commitment to noble ideals as essential virtues for personal and community development.

The program attracted a large turnout of youths from all wards of Ibeju-Lekki, offering a platform for dialogue on innovation, empowerment, and sustainable development. Participants were engaged in discussions on how to translate skills and ideas into tangible community impact.

Key officials in attendance included the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Sodiq Olajide Agbaje, Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Mr. Maruf Olayinka Issa, CDC Chairman Comrade Jabita Adeboye, and Technical Adviser to the Chairman, Mr. Oladimeji Ibrahim.

The gathering underscored the importance of youth participation in governance and societal development, with stakeholders reaffirming their support for programs that nurture leadership, innovation, and civic engagement among young people.

Hon. Olowa concluded by reiterating that youth empowerment remains a central pillar of his administration, stressing that a disciplined and focused youth population is vital for the overall growth, stability, and progress of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area.
