New SLG, Supervisors Take Oath in Ikosi-Ejinrin

Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman of Ikosi‑Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, has inaugurated members of the council’s Executive Council, including the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers.

Epe Insights reports that the inauguration ceremony took place at the Council Secretariat in Agbowa-Ikosi, located in Epe, with political leaders, party stakeholders, community figures and supporters in attendance.

The event attracted prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside friends, families and well-wishers of the newly appointed officials.

During the ceremony, the Council Legal Officer, Barr. Dapo Alebiosu, administered the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy to the Supervisory Councillors, formally inducting them into their respective responsibilities.

In his address, Chairman Wale Raji Anomo congratulated the appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the administration.

He explained that the appointments followed extensive consultations with party leaders, community stakeholders and other interest groups across the council area.

According to him, the process was designed to ensure inclusiveness and balanced representation within the leadership structure of the council.

The chairman urged the newly inaugurated officials to approach their duties with dedication, loyalty and a strong commitment to public service.

He emphasized that members of the Executive Council must see themselves as partners working together to advance the administration’s development agenda.

Anomo also stressed the importance of unity and teamwork within the council’s leadership.

He warned against bringing political caucuses into the cabinet, noting that such divisions could create unnecessary distractions and weaken effective governance.

The chairman further assured residents that the council administration remains committed to improving service delivery across key sectors.

He highlighted health, education and infrastructure as priority areas where the council intends to strengthen development efforts.

According to him, the Supervisory Councillors will provide oversight for various departments to ensure efficiency and responsiveness to community needs.

Anomo also encouraged residents to continue supporting the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the federal government.

Speaking at the event, Olusegun Olulade, also known as Eleniyan and currently Executive Director of Customer Centricity and Marketing at Galaxy Backbone Limited, commended the chairman for his leadership.

He described the inauguration as a step toward strengthening governance and service delivery within the council area.

Olulade also encouraged residents to prepare ahead of the 2027 general elections by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards.

He urged the community to remain politically active and ready to support their preferred candidates during the elections.

At the ceremony, Lookman Anjorin was officially inaugurated as the Secretary to the Local Government.

Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers were also sworn in to support the administration’s policy direction and development plans.

The inauguration marks another step in strengthening governance and grassroots leadership within Ikosi‑Ejinrin Local Council Development Area.
