The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has approved the appointment of 17 political office holders to serve in various capacities within the council administration.
Epe Insights reports that the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and ensure inclusive representation across all wards and stakeholder groups in the local government.
According to a statement from the Public Affairs Unit, the appointees were selected based on integrity, competence, dedication to public service and commitment to the growth of Ibeju-Lekki.
The chairman charged the new office holders to discharge their duties with diligence, transparency and a strong sense of responsibility. He urged them to align with the developmental agenda of the administration.
They are also expected to work collaboratively with relevant departments, stakeholders and residents to advance sustainable development and improve the welfare of the people.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to people-centred governance and transformative leadership. It noted that the goal is to position Ibeju-Lekki as a model of excellence within Lagos State.
The names of the appointees have been forwarded to the Legislative Arm of the Local Government for necessary clearance.
Those appointed include Adewale Fasali Adebanjo (SLG), Balogun Hakeem Oluwole, Aje Saheed, Edalere Olusola and Balogun Abdulwaliu Oluwagbemi.
Others are Wakilat Odupe, Saheed Yusuf, Lasiru Sule, Sodiq Agbeje and Temitope SOFWAN Ogungbo.
Also on the list are Elemoro Ajibola, Alonge Fatai, Bisola Raolat Azeez, Sulaiman Hamzat Abdullahi, Nurudeen Adeboyejo, Yusuf Mujaidu and Shakirat Bisola Musari.
The council congratulated the newly appointed political office holders and wished them success in their new assignments.
Observers say the appointments reflect a strategic move to consolidate governance structures and deepen grassroots development in Ibeju-Lekki.
