Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, hosted a spiritually uplifting Ramadan lecture at the Ibeju-Lekki Central Mosque. The event attracted Muslim faithful, community leaders and residents from across the axis.

The gathering reinforced the moral obligations of public office holders to serve with sincerity and fear of God.
The lecture served as a reminder that leadership is a sacred trust. Participants were urged to embrace transparency and fairness in governance while prioritising the welfare of the people.
Delivering the keynote address, Alhaji Abdul Hakeem Idunnu stressed that public office comes with divine responsibility. He noted that leaders will be accountable before Allah for how they manage the trust placed in them.
“Leadership is a trust from Allah, and every representative will be accountable for how that trust is managed,” he stated.
The Chief Host, Fadilat Sheikh Abdul Semiu Opeloyeru Ajayi, offered spiritual guidance throughout the programme. He also led prayers for peace, unity and sustainable development in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos East and Nigeria as a whole.
The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, attended the lecture. His presence underscored the strong collaboration between federal and local government representatives in fostering community growth and religious harmony.
Hon. Olowa commended Senator Abiru for sustaining the annual Ramadan Lecture Series. He described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that it continues to strengthen moral values within the community.
