Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has celebrated the distinguished service and retirement of its Council Manager, Mr Abiodun Oladipupo Otinwa, at a well-attended ceremony at the Council Secretariat.
Epe Insights reports that the event was led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, and drew members of the Legislative Council, senior council officials, community stakeholders, heads of departments, staff, and other well-wishers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Olowa described Mr Otinwa as a loyal, diligent, and highly competent administrator whose years of service contributed immensely to effective governance and institutional stability within the council.

The chairman noted that Mr Otinwa played a key role in driving administrative efficiency, supporting staff welfare initiatives, and ensuring smooth coordination of council programmes under the current administration.
During his tenure, Mr Otinwa was instrumental in public service reforms, staff training on civil service rules, youth empowerment initiatives, infrastructure coordination, and strengthened community engagement across Ibeju-Lekki.

Tributes from legislative members, management staff, and community leaders highlighted his mentorship, professionalism, and commitment to nurturing younger officers while upholding high ethical standards.

The ceremony featured goodwill messages, presentation of plaques and gifts, cultural displays, and a symbolic cake-cutting to mark his exit from active service.

In his response, Mr Otinwa expressed gratitude to God, the council leadership, staff, and residents of Ibeju-Lekki for the opportunity to serve, while pledging continued support for the council’s development even in retirement.
Ibeju-Lekki Local Government wished him a peaceful, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.
