Rear Admiral Olusanya Abiodun Bankole has commissioned four blocks of classrooms and a fully equipped ICT centre at Molajoye Community Senior High School, Epe, in a major boost to education in the community.

Epe Insights reports that the project, executed in Molajoye, Epe, was initiated by the senior naval officer as part of his commitment to giving back to his roots and improving access to quality education for students.

The newly commissioned facilities are designed to enhance learning, reduce academic pressure, and prepare students for global standards, particularly in digital literacy and technology-driven education.

Speaking at the event, Rear Admiral Bankole expressed appreciation to the Molajoye community, Education District officials, and school management for their cooperation, describing their support as vital to the project’s success.

He explained that the ICT centre was established to expose students to the responsible and productive use of the internet, stressing that education remains the strongest foundation for personal growth and national development.

The Rear Admiral urged students to maximise the use of the facilities, noting that knowledge, when properly applied, has the power to transform lives and shape the future of society.

Beyond education, he demonstrated humanitarian concern by distributing cash gifts and food items to widows in the community to cushion the impact of prevailing economic hardship.

The Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary, Education District III, Mr Olusegun Oshinaike, described the intervention as visionary, noting that it aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda on education.

He said the project would have lasting benefits for the school and the Molajoye community for generations.

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, represented by Major General Oyelade, commended the initiative, describing education as a critical pillar of sustainable security.

He added that humanitarian projects help strengthen trust between the military and host communities, while donating a solar power system to support the new facilities.

The Chief of Naval Staff, represented by Rear Admiral Nkome, also applauded Rear Admiral Bankole for his dedication to educational development.
