Rep. Raji warned operators of heavy-duty vehicles, particularly sand truck drivers, to ensure their vehicles are properly maintained and roadworthy before use.
He emphasized strict adherence to speed limits, safe driving practices, and respect for other road users as critical to preventing such tragedies.
Describing human life as sacred, the lawmaker condemned negligence and recklessness on the roads, stressing that avoidable accidents must not continue.
He urged relevant authorities, transport unions, and regulatory agencies to intensify inspections and enforce road safety regulations to prevent future incidents.
Rep. Raji called on all stakeholders to take proactive steps in protecting lives and promoting a culture of road safety in Epe and across Lagos State.
