The Marina Waterfront in Epe was filled with joy on Saturday, December 6, 2025, as Dr Idris Saliu-Okulu, through his S.I.A Impact Initiative held its Annual Medical and Welfare Outreach, offering free healthcare and welfare support to more than 500 residents.

Epe Insights reports that the outreach provided extensive medical services, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, RDTs, consultations, health talks, and medications. Food palliatives and clothing were also distributed to widows, elderly citizens, artisans, farmers, and market women.

Dr. Idris said giving back to his hometown remains a core priority, lamenting that many young people only return to Epe when they need indigenous certification. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting community well-being.

He stressed the importance of preventive healthcare, noting that many residents delay medical checks until illnesses become severe. He urged the community to take advantage of existing facilities, including the Federal Medical Centre and local health centres.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and offered prayers for Dr Idris. Mrs Kudirat Saliu, a widow, prayed for divine blessings and strength for him, appreciating the free health checks, medication, and clothing she received.

Another beneficiary, Mr. Samuel Ojo, an artisan, described the programme as a timely intervention. He prayed for long life and increased blessings for Dr Idris for his support of vulnerable residents.

Other residents, including traders, farmers, and young people, also expressed heartfelt appreciation, acknowledging the impact of the support on their health and well-being.

The S.I.A Impact Initiative announced that the medical and welfare outreach will now hold annually to ensure sustained healthcare access and community support in Epe Division.
