The Member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Wale Raji, has paid glowing tribute to his former teacher and mentor, Alhaji Ganiyu Adio Akintola, who until his passing was the pioneer Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

EpeInsights reports that in an emotional condolence message, Rep. Raji described the late Akintola as β€œa beloved father, impactful teacher, visionary leader and committed community builder,” noting that his death represents β€œan irreparable loss to Ejinrin and the entire Epe Division.”

Reflecting on his personal relationship with the deceased, Raji recalled that Alhaji Akintola was not only his biology teacher, but also a man whose life embodied discipline, humility and selfless service.

Raji went on to highlight the late Akintola’s distinguished career in public service. From his days in the classroom to becoming the Principal of the prestigious Epe Grammar School and later rising to the position of Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Akintola’s journey was one of excellence, integrity, and leadership.

His eventual appointment as Pioneer Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA further cemented his legacy as a man deeply devoted to public good.

On behalf of the people of Epe Federal Constituency, Raji extended heartfelt condolences to the Akintola family, the Ejinrin community, and all residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, praying that Almighty Allah grants the departed Al-Jannah Firdaus and gives his family the strength to bear the loss.
