The Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom, AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa, has congratulated HRM Oba (Dr) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, on his appointment as the 6th Chancellor of Lagos State University.

Speaking on behalf of the Orijeru throne and the people of Igbooye Kingdom, Oba AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa said the elevation of the Alara to the prestigious academic office is a source of pride for Ilara Kingdom and the traditional institution in Lagos State.
He noted that the honour reflects the confidence reposed in traditional rulers as vital contributors to nation-building and the growth of education.

According to him, Alara’s wealth of experience and visionary leadership will further strengthen academic excellence and institutional development at Lagos State University.
The monarch added that the appointment symbolises a bridge between traditional heritage and modern academic advancement.
He expressed optimism that the new Chancellor’s tenure would enhance the university’s global standing and reinforce its vision and mission.
Oba AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa also offered prayers for wisdom, strength, sound health, and divine guidance for the Alara as he assumes the new responsibility.
Community stakeholders described the congratulatory message as a reflection of unity among traditional institutions in supporting educational progress across Lagos State.
