The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has overseen the distribution of ATM cards to beneficiaries in the third batch of the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme.
Epe Insights reports that the event took place at the Local Government Secretariat, marking another phase in the administration’s poverty alleviation and social inclusion drive.
The programme aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and is designed to support vulnerable residents across Ibeju-Lekki.
A total of 4,000 beneficiaries were selected from over 11,000 applicants through a transparent community-based verification process. The initiative targets low-income households, widows, persons with disabilities, and other marginalised groups.

Each beneficiary will receive ₦100,000 over 20 months. The financial support is intended to strengthen household stability, sustain small businesses, and improve economic resilience.
Hon. Olowa urged recipients to use the funds wisely and productively. He described the intervention as more than financial aid, calling it an investment in the future of families and the wider community.

The Chairman encouraged beneficiaries to prioritise essential needs and channel part of the funds into income-generating ventures. He emphasised that responsible utilisation would multiply the impact of the programme.
The third batch follows the successful launch of the scheme in November 2025 and the second phase distribution in December 2025. Officials confirmed that the initiative remains fully funded by the local government.

Council authorities reiterated their commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable impact in implementing the programme.
Community members at the event expressed appreciation for the continued rollout, describing it as timely support amid economic challenges.
The administration reaffirmed that the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer programme reflects its broader commitment to inclusive development and poverty reduction across Ibeju-Lekki.
