Residents of Ibonwon in Epe Constituency II gathered as Hon. Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu laid the foundation for the long-awaited Ibonwon Town Hall project.
Epe Insights reports that the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly described the project as part of his ongoing infrastructure drive across Eredo and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDAs.
Hon. Ogunkelu, who chairs the House Committee on Physical Planning, AGIS and Urban Development, said his administration remains focused on bridging infrastructural gaps in communities under his constituency.

He noted that beyond the Town Hall, he facilitated the ongoing construction of Ibonwon Town Hall Road and other road projects across the constituency.
The lawmaker disclosed that four additional roads have been approved in the 2026 budget for Ikosi-Ejinrin and Eredo, while efforts are underway to advance Iraye Road in Eredo LCDA.

He also referenced the relocation of plank sellers from Oko-Baba to Ikosi-Ejinrin, facilitated by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, with 400 housing units approved at Timber View and 200 additional units recently secured.
Dignitaries at the event included APC Apex Leader Hon. Wasiu Odeyemi, former Commissioner Hon. Bamidele Onabokun, and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chairman Akogun Wale Raji-Anomo.

Community leaders described the project as timely, noting previous failed efforts to rebuild the old hall.
Engr. Olanipekun John Abiodun of Trustworth Homes and Properties, in partnership with Platinum Homes and Properties, said the 250-capacity hall would be completed within six months.
The facility will feature office spaces, conveniences, and parking for 25 vehicles.
