Kasali Strengthens Security Framework Through Stakeholders’ Engagement

Epe Insights reports that the Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding lives and property through continuous collaboration with traditional institutions, community leaders, and security agencies.

The Chairman made this known during a Security Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting held with royal fathers, Baales, community representatives, and security operatives across Lekki LCDA.

The engagement reflected Engr. Kasali’s proactive approach to addressing security concerns and maintaining peace within the rapidly growing council area.

Speaking at the meeting, the Lekki LCDA Chairman emphasized that security remains one of the core priorities of his administration.

He noted that effective security management requires active cooperation between government, traditional institutions, security agencies, and residents.

According to Engr. Kasali, the meeting was convened to strengthen communication channels, identify emerging threats, and develop practical solutions to security challenges facing various communities.

As part of efforts to reinforce security architecture, Engr. Kasali informed stakeholders about the recent deployment of a new security squad by the Lagos State Government.

The security team consists of four patrol vehicles and twenty armed operatives assigned to strengthen surveillance and response capabilities within the area.

The Chairman described the deployment as a major boost to ongoing efforts aimed at protecting residents and supporting existing security structures.

He also announced plans by his administration to inaugurate a Joint Vigilante Group across Lekki LCDA.

According to him, the initiative will enhance grassroots surveillance and improve intelligence gathering within communities.

Engr. Kasali explained that the proposed vigilante structure would complement the work of conventional security agencies while encouraging greater community involvement in security matters.

The Chairman expressed appreciation to traditional rulers and community leaders for their unwavering support in promoting peace and stability.

He specifically acknowledged the contributions of His Royal Majesty, Oba Liasim Olumuyiwa Ogunbekun, Onilekki of Lekki, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Ismaila Adeleke Akibu, Onilepia of Lepia.

Engr. Kasali also commended security agencies operating within the LCDA for their dedication and commitment to protecting residents.
