In a major push to support grassroots development, the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is set to disburse a ₦50 million financial grant to 1,000 small-scale businesses across the council area.

EpeInsights reports that the initiative, tagged Òkóówó Anomo, is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, April 30, 2025, at the LCDA Secretariat in Agbowa, Epe.

The mega empowerment programme is spearheaded by the Executive Chairman, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, as part of ongoing efforts to stimulate local enterprise, boost household income, and foster sustainable economic development within the LCDA.

With the theme, “Unlocking Opportunities for Economic Growth, Sustainability, and Development,” the initiative aims to be one of the largest grassroots empowerment schemes in Lagos State, reflecting a bold commitment to inclusive governance and poverty alleviation.

Speaking on the upcoming launch, stakeholders have lauded the Anomo-led administration for prioritising community-driven development and creating an enabling environment for micro and small businesses to thrive.

The event will kick off at 10:00 AM and is expected to draw community leaders, business owners, youth groups, and development partners.

As anticipation builds, residents and beneficiaries alike are applauding what many describe as a “transformative moment” in the history of the LCDA.
