The Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area has facilitated the distribution of ATM cards to beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Programme.

Epe Insights reports that the exercise was led by the Executive Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, as part of efforts to support vulnerable residents within the council area.

The initiative is a component of the Renewed Hope Social Intervention Programme introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It is designed to reduce poverty, improve living conditions, and provide financial support to low-income households.

At the event, the chairman, who was represented, commended the Federal Government for rolling out impactful welfare programmes.

He noted that such interventions are critical to addressing economic challenges at the grassroots level.

A total of 192 ATM cards were distributed during this phase of the programme.

Authorities disclosed that over 5,000 residents across the LCDA are expected to benefit from the initiative.

The programme includes an initial disbursement of ₦75,000 to beneficiaries.

This will be followed by a monthly support payment of ₦25,000 to sustain households.
