Over 40 Ijebu monarchs resident in Lagos State have converged in Odo-Ayandelu, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, for a rotating royal meeting focused on unity, culture, security, and shared community development.

Epe Insights reports that the gathering was hosted by the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu, Oba Asunmo Ganiu Aderibigbe, at his palace, marking his first opportunity to host fellow monarchs in four years.

Oba Aderibigbe expressed excitement over the meeting, describing it as a significant platform for strengthening bonds among Ijebu traditional rulers living across Lagos State.

He explained that the forum brings together Ijebu Obas from Ikorodu, Epe Central, Ibeju-Lekki, Eredo, Ikosi-Ejinrin, and other areas, with meetings rotating among members.

The monarch stressed that unity among Ijebu Obas is essential, noting that collaboration would enhance cultural preservation and collective progress similar to other ethnic royal blocs in the state.

Security and cultural preservation featured prominently in discussions, with Oba Aderibigbe calling for joint efforts to protect traditions and promote peace within their respective domains.
