In a major step toward advancing social welfare and human capital development, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Monday officially kicked off the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) registration at the Council Secretariat.
EpeInsights reports that the initiative, in line with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, seeks to provide financial assistance to vulnerable households and empower residents to improve their living standards.
The registration exercise marks the beginning of a broader effort to ensure inclusive economic participation and sustainable development within the local government.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Olowa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to people-centered governance, emphasizing that the Conditional Cash Transfer will help alleviate poverty and foster community resilience.
“This initiative is another clear demonstration of our government’s dedication to improving the welfare of our people,” Olowa stated. “Through targeted social intervention, we are ensuring that no one in Ibeju-Lekki is left behind in our journey toward inclusive growth and prosperity.”
The programme, which began at the Council Secretariat, will continue across wards in the coming days, with Ward A (Ibeju 1) scheduled as the next point of registration.
Residents were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to register, as the scheme promises direct financial support to eligible beneficiaries, particularly low-income earners and households in need.
