Over 300 residents benefited from the RBK Free Medical Outreach, which offered medical consultations, laboratory tests, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, eye care, dental services, glaucoma screening, free medications and health education.
Epe Insights reports that Speaking during the outreach, Hon. Kasali urged residents to prioritise their health by making regular use of Primary Health Centres whenever they experience health challenges. He described preventive healthcare as the most effective way to detect illnesses early and reduce avoidable medical complications.
The council chairman also cautioned against self-medication and the patronage of unregulated traditional treatments. According to him, many health conditions become more severe because patients delay seeking professional medical attention.
Hon. Kasali reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare through community-based initiatives that place the wellbeing of residents at the centre of governance.
He commended the Supervisor for Health, the Medical Officer of Health and other healthcare personnel for their dedication to providing quality medical services during the outreach. He noted that their commitment continues to strengthen healthcare delivery across the LCDA.

The chairman also praised the Department of Environment for educating residents on the importance of environmental sanitation in preventing disease outbreaks. He encouraged households to participate fully in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday.
Medical professionals at the event advised residents to monitor their health regularly through routine check-ups. They stressed that early detection of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and glaucoma significantly improves treatment outcomes.
Many beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the council for providing free healthcare services. They described the outreach as timely, especially for residents who struggle to afford routine medical care and prescription medications.
Beyond treatment, the outreach focused on promoting healthy lifestyles through public health education. Participants received guidance on proper nutrition, personal hygiene, disease prevention and the dangers associated with delaying medical treatment.
The programme forms part of Lekki LCDA’s broader strategy to strengthen primary healthcare and ensure that quality medical services remain accessible to every resident, regardless of financial status.

Hon. Kasali reiterated that his administration will continue to invest in health programmes that improve the quality of life of residents. He maintained that a healthy population remains essential to sustainable development and economic progress in Lekki LCDA.
The successful outreach further reflects the council’s commitment to building healthier communities through accessible healthcare, public awareness and preventive medical interventions that directly benefit the people.
