Elderly residents of the Thanni Oladunjoye Older People Care Centre, Epe Division, were celebrated as De-Bulad Charities partnered with the home to provide food and welfare support.

Epe Insights reports that the outreach took place on Saturday, December 13, as part of activities marking the 70th birthday of Chief (Dr.) Modupeola Lawal, founder of De-Bulad Charities and Iya Ewe of Epe.

The care centre, founded by Mr Tunde Thanni, is dedicated to promoting the welfare and well-being of senior citizens across Epe Division.

Representing the Global Rebirth Leadership University, USA, Prof. Isaac Olaniyi commended Mrs Lawal for her humanitarian impact and announced the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership and Humanitarian Services on her.

In her remarks, Dr. Lawal reflected on her humble background and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the less privileged, noting that humanitarian service gives her fulfilment and purpose.

She explained that she frequently returns from abroad to Nigeria to empower vulnerable groups, especially within Epe Division.

The Olori of Epe, Olori Aribike Adewale, wife of the late Olu-Epe, extended goodwill to the elderly by donating ₦5,000 each alongside food items provided by the celebrant.

Olori Adewale praised Dr Lawal’s compassion and prayed for her continued good health, long life, and divine blessings.
