Hon. Olowa Celebrates Oba Orimedu on Birthday, Commends Monarch’s Empowerment and Educational Support Initiatives

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has extended heartfelt felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Abidemi Toheeb Yissa-Oyedele (Oyetu I), on the occasion of his birthday and anniversary of his ascension to the throne.

EpeInsights reports that Hon. Olowa was among the dignitaries who graced the colourful celebration held at the Orimedu Palace grounds, which featured cultural performances, communal prayers, and goodwill messages from friends, associates, and traditional rulers.

The event drew a host of distinguished personalities, including His Excellency, Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele (Baba Oba of Orimedu), traditional monarchs, community leaders, and residents from Orimedu and neighboring communities, who gathered to honor the revered king.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Olowa praised the monarch for his transformative leadership, noting that his reign has brought remarkable progress and development to the community.

He particularly lauded Kabiyesi’s empowerment schemes, which include the sponsorship of students in higher institutions and financial support for traders.

“Leadership is not a tea party,” Hon. Olowa stated.

“His Royal Majesty has sacrificed the comfort of leadership for selfless service. The seeds sown through educational sponsorship and empowerment initiatives are helping to lift people out of poverty.”

The council boss prayed for continued divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for the royal father, commending his passion for youth development and community growth.

In his remarks, Oba Toheeb Abidemi Yissa Oyedele (Oyetu I) reaffirmed his commitment to education and human capital development, describing education as “the cornerstone of our kingdom’s future.”

“On this special day, I am reminded of the blessings in my life and the responsibility to extend those blessings to our youth, ensuring they are equipped to lead Orimedu into prosperity,” the monarch stated.

The celebration concluded with a vibrant cultural parade featuring traditional drummers, dancers, and a community feast, fostering unity, joy, and reflection among attendees.
