The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has renewed its commitment to unity and grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections, following a highly attended Stakeholders Forum held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.

EpeInsights reports that the event, which brought together party leaders, legislators, local government chairmen, youth mobilizers, and members of the business community, was aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and outlining a shared roadmap for the party’s continued dominance in Lagos politics.

Declaring the forum open, Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, described the gathering as “a melting pot of ideas and strategies for deeper engagement with the grassroots and stronger voter mobilization across all local councils.”

Delivering the keynote address, former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), urged party leaders to focus on sustaining voter confidence through meaningful engagement and civic education.

“The strength of our democracy lies not just in new voter registrations, but in maintaining the loyalty and trust of those who have consistently stood with the APC,” Fashola said.

The APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, emphasized that the party must intensify mobilization across all 20 local government areas and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State. He noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding visible progress in infrastructure and economic reforms nationwide.

“Continuity, unity, and coordinated mobilization are essential if Lagos is to continue delivering overwhelming victories for the APC,” Basiru added.

A highlight of the event was the return of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, whose presence drew loud applause and cheers from attendees — signaling a renewed sense of reconciliation within the Lagos APC family.

The Tinubu–Ambode Support Associates (TASA) described Ambode’s reappearance as “a bridge reconnecting the past, present, and future of Lagos progressivism,” adding that his renewed involvement would inspire youths, professionals, and grassroots supporters to rally behind the APC in 2027.

Other notable speakers included Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, who gave a progress report on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda, highlighting achievements in transportation, housing, education, and technology. Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Hon. Enitan Dolapo Badru also outlined ongoing legislative efforts supporting Lagos’ infrastructural and economic development.

In attendance were party stalwarts such as Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Dr. Abayomi Finnih, Chief James Odumbaku (Baba Eto), Senator Seye Ogunlewe, and Senator Ganiyu Solomon, among others.

The forum concluded on a celebratory note with a performance by King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), symbolizing renewed unity and harmony within the party.

In a closing statement, TASA reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC leadership and pledged to mobilize over four million votes for President Tinubu and APC candidates in the forthcoming 2027 elections.

“This renewed chapter of cooperation and inclusiveness marks a fresh dawn of progress and unity for Lagos APC,” the group said.
