The representative for Epe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, has successfully completed the rehabilitation of six critical roads across the Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

EpeInsights reports that this comes as part of his broader efforts to enhance access and economic opportunities within Eredo LCDA and the region.

The newly rehabilitated roads, spanning across various wards, include vital routes such as Olayemi Street in Ibonwon, MOT/Odomola Road, Ogun Road in Odogbawojo, Odo-Egiri Road, FEKO Road in Ibonwon and Oluayan Road in Mojoda.

These roads are key to improving daily transportation, connecting residents with essential services like schools, health centers, and local markets.

Residents of Igbooye and Poka, who have long faced the challenges of poor road infrastructure, have already begun to feel the benefits of these upgrades.

The new roads are easing the movement of goods, enhancing local trade, and supporting agricultural activities.

Many locals have expressed their gratitude, noting that the improvements are already making a noticeable difference in their daily lives.

Hon. Ogunkelu, who is popularly known as “Sketel,” took the time to inspect ongoing works during a recent tour and reassured community members that the remaining three road projects are on schedule.

These include Jalugaye Road in Igbooye, Jagunmolu Street in Poka, and another critical road stretch within the area.

He assured stakeholders that these remaining projects would be completed on time, further enhancing connectivity across the community.

He emphasized that well-maintained roads are not only essential for transportation but also play a crucial role in boosting local economies, improving access to education and healthcare, ultimately raising the overall quality of life for residents.

“These roads are more than just construction projects; they are lifelines for the people,” Hon. Ogunkelu remarked.

“We are building access to opportunity, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.”

Hon. Ogunkelu’s ongoing efforts have garnered praise from constituents and local leaders alike, who have commended his consistent dedication to grassroots development.

The lawmaker’s work is helping to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, bringing much-needed resources to communities that have historically been neglected in state development plans.

As the 2027 election season approaches, his focus on fulfilling campaign promises and improving infrastructure continues to build his reputation as a dependable and people-centered representative.

By continuing to deliver on these promises, Hon. Ogunkelu is securing his legacy as a champion for rural development and a strong advocate for the people of Epe.
