Hon. Olowa Meets Destiny Home Estate Residents, Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Governance

In the run-up to the July 12 Local Government elections in Lagos State, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, held a strategic engagement with residents and stakeholders of Destiny Home Estate, Abijo.

EpeInsights reports that Olowa assured them of continued inclusive governance and accelerated development under his administration if re-elected.

The interactive session, part of Hon. Olowa’s grassroots mobilization efforts, was attended by key political figures including the Director-General of the Campaign Organization, Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun; APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Aliasau Eletu; Apex Leader, Hon. Monsuru Oludaisi Kazeem; and the APC Local Government Woman Leader, Alhaja Mobi Raji.

Addressing residents, Hon. Olowa expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception and active civic participation displayed by the estate community. He emphasized that his administration, since 2021, has prioritized bridging the gap between government and the grassroots.

“The transformation we are witnessing across Ibeju-Lekki today is the result of intentional leadership and community-driven planning,” he said.

“Thanks to the people-centric governance provided by the APC at all levels, our Council is developing rapidly. We are committed to continuing this trajectory.”

Hon. Olowa encouraged residents to view the upcoming council elections as a significant civic responsibility that would help amplify the community’s voice and attract more development from state-level authorities.

He presented a performance review of his administration’s past three years and unveiled his future agenda, tagged S.H.I.E.E.L.D, a roadmap to deepen progress in Security, Health, Infrastructure, Education, Empowerment, Leadership, and Digital governance.

The event also served as a platform to introduce his running mate, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, and Ms. Zainab Ayobola Eletu, the Councillorship Candidate for Iwerekun I (Ward E).

Residents of Destiny Home Estate commended the Chairman’s leadership and progress made so far. “We are well aware of the work you have done, and we will continue to give you our support,” said Elder Kole, a resident. “Ibeju-Lekki is better today because of your leadership.”

As the July 12 polls, organized by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), draw near, Hon. Olowa’s campaign continues to focus on inclusive leadership, infrastructural renewal, and strategic development in the rapidly growing Ibeju-Lekki axis.

Voting is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. across polling units on election day.
