The traditional institution of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has recorded another milestone under the administration of Executive Chairman Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, as Chief (Dr.) Adekunle Taiwo Adeboye receives official approval of his appointment as Baale of Alahun Town.

EpeInsights reports that the announcement was formally conveyed in a letter signed by Council Manager, Mr. Oladipupo Otinwa, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.

The letter confirmed Chief Adeboye’s appointment and stated that the official gazette recognizing the new Baale will soon be published by the Lagos State Government.

In a brief but symbolic presentation ceremony, Hon. Olowa congratulated the new Baale, who also serves as the Chairman of the Council of Baales in the local government area.

He urged him to remain a father figure to all in the community, uphold the constitution, and continue to protect and strengthen the traditional institution.

“Your appointment is a recognition of your enduring contributions and leadership in Alahun and beyond,” Hon. Olowa remarked.

“We trust you will continue to serve with wisdom, unity, and respect for our rich cultural heritage.”

The development marks a significant boost for the preservation and recognition of traditional leadership in Ibeju-Lekki, as the local government continues to blend modern governance with respect for indigenous customs.
