President Bola Tinubu joined Muslim faithful at the Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Lagos on Friday to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers.

EpeInsights reports that the President was accompanied by high-profile dignitaries including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Defence Muhammed Badaru Abubakar, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, and Minister of State for Defence Bello Muhammed Matawalle.

Others present were former Minister of Power and ex-Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Dangote Group President Alhaji Aliko Dangote, BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu, Oando Group CEO Wale Tinubu, and the President’s close associate, Prof. Shaffideen Amuwo.

In his post-prayer remarks, Tinubu urged Nigerians to foster unity, compassion, and generosity, especially toward the vulnerable.

“We must come together as one another’s brother’s keeper. As we make sacrifices, let’s also pray for our troops who are defending us amid the challenges of terrorism and banditry,” the President said.

A statement by Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga added that the Chief Imam also called on worshippers to live peacefully and support their neighbors, the poor, and the vulnerable.

He emphasized national unity, saying, “Whether Igbo, Yoruba, or Hausa, we must live above ethnic sentiments.”

In his official Eid-el-Kabir message, Tinubu appealed to Nigerians for patience as his administration’s reforms take root.

“We may not yet be where we aspire to be, but I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope. Our reforms are gaining traction… soon, all will feel the benefits.”
