Barr. Mrs Saidat Olayinka Oladunjoye has joined the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and other women leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a strategic engagement ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Epe Insights reports that the engagement brought together Oladunjoye, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, Princess Damilola Sonayon-James, the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, and other women leaders and stakeholders to discuss grassroots coordination and political participation across Lagos State.
Oladunjoye shared details of the engagement in a statement highlighting what she described as a collective responsibility and shared commitment to Lagos State.
She said the meeting provided an opportunity for women leaders and stakeholders to strengthen grassroots coordination ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The engagement also focused on increasing the participation of women in political activities and strengthening communication among stakeholders across the state.
Oladunjoye said effective grassroots mobilisation remained important to building stronger connections between political structures and communities.
She noted that the meeting provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas and discuss approaches for improving grassroots engagement.
The gathering comes as political parties and campaign structures in Lagos intensify preparations for the 2027 elections.
Recent reports indicate that the Lagos APC has been expanding its campaign and mobilisation structures ahead of the elections, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu listed as chairman of the party’s campaign council and other stakeholders assigned various roles.
Women’s participation has also featured in recent political engagements across Lagos.

A September engagement involving the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials and APC stakeholders focused on voter participation, grassroots mobilisation and engagement with communities ahead of the elections.
Against this backdrop, the strategic engagement attended by Oladunjoye provided another platform for women leaders to discuss their role in grassroots political activities.
The participants included the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, alongside Princess Damilola Sonayon-James and other women leaders.
The presence of women leaders from different levels of the political structure highlighted the role of organised grassroots engagement in preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle.
Oladunjoye further emphasised the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in strengthening mobilisation efforts across Lagos State.
She said sustained engagement with communities would help improve coordination and encourage broader participation in political activities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for participants to consider ways of strengthening women’s involvement in grassroots structures.
Oladunjoye described the engagement as part of the collective efforts of stakeholders committed to advancing their activities across Lagos State.
She reiterated the importance of cooperation and coordinated engagement among women leaders as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
The strategic meeting forms part of a broader pattern of political consultations and mobilisation activities currently taking place across Lagos State.

With political stakeholders increasingly focusing on grassroots structures, women leaders have continued to feature prominently in meetings and mobilisation initiatives ahead of the 2027 elections.
For Oladunjoye, the engagement offered an opportunity to connect with fellow women leaders, exchange ideas and contribute to ongoing grassroots coordination.
She expressed her commitment to continued engagement with stakeholders as political activities progress across the state.
The meeting ultimately reinforced the importance of coordination, participation and community-level engagement in the political process.
As preparations for the 2027 General Elections continue, similar consultations are expected to remain part of the activities of political organisations and stakeholders across Lagos State.
