The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has joined other council chairmen, party leaders and stakeholders at the inauguration of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Epe Insights reports that Kasali was appointed Co-Coordinator for Lekki LCDA under the LGA/LCDA Coordinator and Co-Coordinator Directorate of the campaign council.
The inauguration took place on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, as the party formally commenced activities under its campaign structure for the 2027 elections.
The Lagos APC campaign council includes various directorates and committees designed to coordinate campaign-related activities and engagement across the state.
According to the structure released by the party, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is the Chairman of the campaign council, while Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat serves as Deputy Chairman.

Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro was named Director-General, with asaq Ajala as Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka as Campaign Secretary.
Kasali, who attended the inauguration alongside other council chairmen Rand party stakeholders, announced his appointment as Co-Coordinator for Lekki LCDA in a statement shared through his office.
In the statement, he said he was honoured to take up the responsibility and described the appointment as part of the collective work ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Lekki LCDA chairman said the role would involve working under the LGA/LCDA Coordinator and Co-Coordinator Directorate within the campaign structure.
The directorate is part of the wider arrangement established by the Lagos APC to coordinate activities across local government and council development areas.
The campaign council structure contains coordinators and co-coordinators assigned to different local government areas and LCDA jurisdictions across Lagos State.
Kasali also acknowledged the presence of Dr. Odutola Kasali, whom he identified as the Supreme Apex Leader in Ibeju-Lekki, alongside other party stakeholders at the inauguration.
The gathering provided an opportunity for members of the newly constituted campaign structure to formally assume their respective responsibilities.
The inauguration followed the release of the campaign council structure by the Lagos APC on September 17, outlining the various positions and directorates within the council.
The campaign structure covers several areas of political and organisational engagement, including administration, logistics, legal and compliance, traditional institutions, residents’ associations and party affairs.

The LGA/LCDA coordination structure provides a local-level component within the wider campaign organisation.
For Lekki LCDA, Kasali’s appointment places the council chairman within the campaign structure responsible for coordinating activities at the local level.
The appointment also comes as political parties begin preparations for the 2027 general elections, with campaign structures being established across different levels.
The Lagos APC inauguration brought together party leaders, elected officials, council chairmen, candidates and other stakeholders involved in the campaign organisation.
Speaking during the inauguration, Hamzat urged party members to work together and mobilise support for the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections. He also called for campaigns to focus on the records and achievements of the APC-led administration.

The campaign council is expected to provide an organisational framework for coordinating party activities as preparations for the elections continue.
Kasali’s participation in the structure adds the Lekki LCDA level to the broader coordination arrangement covering communities and local government areas across Lagos State.
For residents and stakeholders in Lekki LCDA, the development places the council chairman in an additional organisational role within the state-level campaign structure.
The appointment is part of the wider deployment of party officials and political stakeholders into various positions within the campaign council.
As the 2027 electoral process progresses, members of the council will operate within their respective directorates and coordination structures as assigned by the party.
The inauguration therefore marks the formal commencement of the campaign council’s organisational activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
