Hon. (Engr.) Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, OKL, FNSE, APC candidate for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has facilitated the provision and installation of a 500KVA transformer for residents of Ibaoloja Road, Ibeju Agbe, Ibeju-Lekki.
Epe Insights reports that the intervention is aimed at addressing the challenge of inadequate electricity supply affecting residents, traders, artisans and other members of the community.
The transformer is expected to strengthen electricity supply in the area and provide relief to residents who have experienced difficulties associated with unreliable power.
According to the information made available, installation of the 500KVA transformer is scheduled for completion within the next few days.
The development is being presented as part of Olowu’s efforts to support community needs and promote projects capable of improving living conditions across Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I.
Olowu said the intervention reflects his commitment to improving the quality of life of residents while supporting economic activities within the constituency.
He noted that reliable electricity remains important to households, businesses and artisans whose daily activities depend on regular power supply.
“The people of Ibaoloja Road, Ibeju Agbe deserve reliable electricity to power their homes and businesses,” Olowu said.
He explained that the provision of the transformer was a direct response to the electricity needs identified within the community.
Olowu added that the installation would commence shortly, expressing confidence that the project would provide meaningful relief to residents and business owners.
He also described the intervention as an example of the type of representation he intends to provide if given the mandate to represent Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The APC candidate further pledged to pursue additional people-oriented projects and responsive legislation focused on the needs of constituents.
For residents of Ibaoloja Road and surrounding areas, improved electricity supply could have wider benefits beyond household use.
Community leaders and residents who applauded the initiative said stable power would support local businesses, artisans and traders operating within Ibeju Agbe.
They also noted that improved electricity supply could contribute to better security conditions and enhance the general wellbeing of residents.

Small businesses are among the activities expected to benefit from a more dependable electricity supply, particularly enterprises that require power for daily operations.
Artisans and other service providers in the area may equally find it easier to conduct their activities when electricity supply becomes more reliable.
The intervention also highlights the importance of constituency-level initiatives that respond directly to challenges identified by residents.
Ibaoloja Road is located within Ibeju Agbe, an area where residents and local businesses continue to depend on basic infrastructure to sustain their daily activities.
The provision of the transformer is therefore expected to complement existing efforts by stakeholders to improve infrastructure and living conditions within the community.
Olowu said his focus remains on projects that have a direct impact on the people, particularly initiatives that can improve livelihoods and create a more supportive environment for economic activities.
He further expressed his readiness to continue engaging with communities and identifying areas where interventions are needed.
The development comes as political activities continue ahead of the forthcoming Lagos State House of Assembly election.
Olowu, who is seeking election to represent Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, has continued to position people-oriented projects and responsive representation as key aspects of his campaign message.

He said the people of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I deserve effective representation capable of identifying their needs and advancing practical solutions.
The planned completion of the transformer installation will be closely watched by residents who are looking forward to improved electricity supply in Ibaoloja Road and adjoining areas.
Community members are expected to benefit from the project once the installation and related technical processes are completed.
The initiative has also renewed conversations around the importance of infrastructure interventions that support homes, businesses and community development.
For residents and economic operators in Ibeju Agbe, reliable electricity remains an important requirement for productivity and improved daily living.
Olowu reaffirmed that, if elected, he would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, strengthening community development and promoting legislation that responds to the needs of constituents.

He maintained that effective representation should be reflected in practical interventions that address issues affecting the people.
The 500KVA transformer project at Ibaoloja Road, Ibeju Agbe, is therefore expected to provide an important boost to electricity supply in the community when installation is completed.
Residents and stakeholders in the area have welcomed the development while awaiting the completion of the installation and commencement of improved power supply.
