The second edition of the Bosede Idehen 5-A-Side Football Tournament continued with another exciting round of fixtures, as Bosede Idehen secured a narrow 6–5 victory over Josab School in a high-scoring encounter.

Epe Insights reports that the match produced an 11-goal thriller, with both teams demonstrating attacking quality, determination and a strong desire to secure victory. The contest remained closely fought throughout, with neither side able to establish a comfortable advantage.

Bosede Idehen eventually prevailed 6–5 after an entertaining encounter that kept players and spectators on edge until the final whistle.

The two teams displayed considerable attacking intent, with opportunities converted at both ends of the pitch. The eventual result reflected the competitive nature of the tournament, which has continued to provide participating schools with opportunities to showcase their footballing talents.

However, the exciting fixture was also accompanied by a disciplinary incident involving Monsuru of Josab School.

According to the tournament’s Disciplinary Committee, Monsuru displayed inappropriate conduct towards the referee, his coach and an opposing player during the match.

Following consideration of the incident, the committee imposed a one-match suspension on the player.

The committee described the conduct as unacceptable and contrary to the principles of discipline, respect and sportsmanship expected from every participant in the competition.

It also reminded all players that respect for match officials, coaches, opponents and tournament regulations remains a fundamental requirement throughout the competition.

In another fixture, God’s Merit recorded a 2–1 victory over Dee Unique following a closely contested encounter.

Both teams approached the game with determination and tactical discipline, creating opportunities while attempting to limit their opponents’ chances.

The contest remained competitive for much of the match, with both sides fighting for control and looking for openings. God’s Merit eventually secured the advantage and held on to claim a narrow 2–1 victory.

The result further demonstrated the level of competition among the participating schools, with teams continuing to battle for positive results as the tournament progresses.

Meanwhile, the scheduled encounter between Golden Star and Mighty FC was postponed.

The organisers are expected to announce a new date and time for the fixture, with both teams awaiting further communication.

The latest round produced 14 goals from the two completed matches, adding to the excitement surrounding the second edition of the Bosede Idehen 5-A-Side Football Tournament.
